Services and programmes
Practical support for your health, at every stage
From a single consultation to a residential programme, our services are built around nutrition, healthy routines and carefully chosen natural approaches. Each one starts with understanding your needs, and each one works alongside the care of your doctor.
Health consultations
A consultation is where everything begins. It is unhurried time to talk about your health, your habits and your goals, and to agree on practical next steps.
Consultations with our registered dietitian take place in person at our centre in Beyerspark, Boksburg. Online appointments are planned for the future.
Medical consultations are provided only by registered medical practitioners, and naturopathic consultations only by appropriately registered naturopathic practitioners. Each practitioner’s qualifications and registration details will be listed on our team page once confirmed.
What happens in a consultation
1
Initial assessment
We start with your health history, current medication, any diagnoses you have received, and what you would like help with.
2
Your health and lifestyle
We talk through eating patterns, sleep, activity, stress and daily routine, so that advice fits your real life.
3
Nutritional guidance
You receive practical guidance on food and eating habits, based on your needs and preferences.
4
Personalised recommendations
Together we agree on a small number of realistic changes, and how you will know they are working.
5
Products, where appropriate
If a natural product or supplement may help, we explain why, how to use it, and whether it could interact with your medication.
6
Referral when needed
If anything suggests you need medical assessment or treatment, we will tell you and refer you to your doctor or another appropriate professional.
Nutritional counselling
What we eat every day is one of the foundations of good health. The World Health Organization recognises a healthy diet as one of the main ways to help protect against many long-term conditions, including heart disease, type 2 diabetes and some cancers (WHO, healthy diet fact sheet).
Nutritional counselling turns that principle into something you can use. We look at what, when and how you eat, and help you make changes that suit your tastes, culture, budget and schedule.
Counselling can help with
- Building balanced everyday meals
- Eating well on a busy schedule or a tight budget
- Nutrition alongside a long-term condition, coordinated with your doctor
- Nutrition for different life stages and for the whole family
Weight management
Weight is influenced by many things: food, activity, sleep, stress, medication, hormones and life circumstances. Lasting change rarely comes from a short-term diet. It usually comes from steady changes to everyday habits that you can keep up.
Our weight management support combines nutritional guidance, practical lifestyle changes and regular check-ins. Where weight may be linked to a medical condition or medication, we will recommend that you speak to your doctor.
What we will not do
- Promise a set amount of weight loss
- Recommend crash diets or extreme restriction
- Pressure you to buy products
- Advise changes to prescribed medication
Detox and wellness programmes
The word “detox” is used in many different ways. Your liver, kidneys, gut, lungs and skin already remove waste products from the body, and there is little scientific evidence that special products or cleanses speed this up.
Our programmes focus instead on giving your body good conditions: nourishing whole food, enough water, rest, gentle movement, time outdoors and a break from alcohol, smoking and highly processed food. Programmes can be day visits, multi-day courses or residential stays, and each one is planned around you.
Supportive therapies
These therapies may be included in a programme where they are suitable for you. Evidence for their benefits varies, and we will explain what is and is not known before you decide.
Session times, availability and prices to be confirmed.
Sauna
Time in a sauna is part of many wellness routines and is widely used for relaxation. It is not suitable for everyone, for example during pregnancy, with some heart conditions or with low blood pressure, so your suitability is checked before your first session.
Cold water immersion
Short, controlled exposure to cold water is a popular wellness practice. Research into its effects is still developing. It can place strain on the heart and circulation, so it is not offered to people with certain heart or circulation conditions and is always introduced gradually.
Ozone therapy
Ozone therapy is a complementary therapy. Scientific evidence for its use in most conditions is limited, and it carries risks if not delivered correctly. Where it is offered at Wholesome Health, it is provided only by appropriately trained and registered practitioners, in line with South African regulations, after an individual assessment, and never as a substitute for medical treatment.
Colon cleansing and enemas
Colon cleansing, including enemas, is a traditional practice in some natural health approaches. There is little scientific evidence that it removes toxins or improves general health, and it is not suitable for some people, including those with certain bowel, heart or kidney conditions. It is offered only after assessment, by trained staff, and only where it is considered suitable for you.
Residential programmes
Residential wellness programmes
Residential programmes give you time away from everyday pressures to focus on your wellbeing. They are planned to include comfortable accommodation, nourishing meals prepared for you, gardens and quiet outdoor spaces for rest, and daily guidance from our team.
The length of each stay is agreed individually, based on your needs and goals.

A structured break built around whole-food meals, hydration, rest, gentle activity and time outdoors, with daily support from our team.
Nutritional rehabilitation
For people who want to rebuild healthy eating patterns, with planned meals, education and one-to-one nutritional guidance.
Lifestyle change
Practical sessions on food, sleep, movement and stress, designed to help new habits continue once you return home.
Support for people living with chronic conditions
Nutrition and lifestyle support for people living with conditions such as type 2 diabetes or high blood pressure, provided alongside the care of their doctor and never instead of it.
How to enquire
Start by sending an enquiry. We will contact you to talk about your needs, check whether a programme is suitable, and explain length of stay, costs and next steps. Please do not send detailed medical records through the website; we will discuss what we need with you directly.
Natural products and supplements
Our centre stocks a considered range of natural products. We recommend them only where they suit your needs, and we check for possible interactions with any medication you take.
- Natural and organic products
- Vitamins and minerals
- Herbal products
- Nutritional supplements
- Natural skincare
Our online shop is not available yet. Products can be bought at the centre, and we are happy to answer questions before you visit.
Supplements are not a substitute for a varied diet. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking medication, speak to your doctor or pharmacist before starting a new supplement.
